"I purchased a Kangaroo Mini Herb and Garlic Roast from my Coles
Wynnum store and cooked it tonight for dinner. The main attraction was
the 98% Fat Free (we are watching our weight) and high in protein (we
have a teenage son and he is like a stick figure). No one in the family
has had Kangaroo before apart from myself, at a restaurant, which was
overcooked and dry. We followed the instructions to the 't' and it was
fantastic, tender juicy and easy to cut. Every plate was finished
completely and we will be returning this week to buy another. Great
product, great concept, great price per kilo. I wish you all the
success with the product range and hope it continues to perform well
enough to stay on the shelves. I will assure you all my friends will
hear about it - and taste it when they come over."

"Gidday folks at Macro Meats. I feel compelled to write to you to complement you on many levels.
Firstly your marinated meat is delicious. It is the best meat i have
eaten in my life. I am hooked. I have no need of beef or lamb anymore.
I will do my best to promote your awesome produce. It is also great for
my budget. If you can maintain quality and price, you have a winner.
Secondly, the minimal impact on the land, the absence of nasties in the
meat and the goodies that help with tummy fat have me locked in.
Please, please keep up the work on making this naturally good
Australian product. Your pride is so obvious in the way you describe
and present your produce. I LOVE IT!!!!
The very bests to you and your team."

"I recently purchased your Kanga Banga sausages for the first time due to it being on special in Safeway, and cooked them up for my kids. Wow, not only were they inexpensive, I was suprised to find that by the time they were cooked, the fry pan was not FULL of oil like when we cook up other sausages. My children loved them and knowing they are a healthy alternative (after reading your nutrition section), I have added them as a weekly meal, cheap, easy to cook and best of all great for my growing kids, thanks for this great product."

"I have been eating your kangaroo steaks for a few years now and
wish to thank you for your product which not only gives me a great
surge of energy, but makes me feel much better than eating any other
meat. It truly is a fantastic food and I think Macro Meats are doing a
good job for people and the environment."

"As a dietician and regular consumer of kangaroo meat, I was
delighted to assist Macro Meats by researching the nutrition
credentials of kangaroo meat and preparing nutrition information for
the Macro Meats website. Kangaroo meat is certainly an impressive lean
red meat, with a nutritional profile to match it's versatility, texture
and taste. I encourage all Aussies to embrace and enjoy kangaroo meat
as part of a healthy, balanced diet."

"If you're going to eat meat, why not kangaroo. I wish people who
feel uncomfortable about eating kangaroo would learn some facts about
kangaroo farming. There's just no basis for the cruelty argument. Not
only that, if you care about the environment you would understand the
necessity of culling their numbers to protect the land. Unlike cows,
kangaroos are not herded off to the abattoirs to be slaughtered after
they've been fattended up on the farm. Up until that single, fast and
effective gunshot, they have enjoyed life in their natural environment.
It's free range food, it's fabulous, it's one of the best lean sources
of protein around and it's extremely economical."

"I love kangaroo meat for several reasons. Firstly if we want a meat that is as close as we can get to the types of meat our hunter-gatherer ancestors would have eaten, then this gets pretty close. The animals live in their natural habitat, run around (or jump around in this case) so that they are muscular and lean as they should be, and eat their native diet. This results in their meat being also very lean and rich in nutrients that most of us need more of including iron, zinc and omega-3 fats. In contrast most domesticated meat from animals fattened up on grains in crowded feedlots, meaning they get little exercise, is fattier (that’s what marbled meat is - fat) and provides mostly the wrong types of fat. Secondly from an animal welfare point of view I like the thought that I am eating meat from an animal that lived it’s natural life, albeit prematurely ended but to eat meat at all we have to accept that part of the food chain. Increasingly we are also concerned with the impact of our food choices on the environment and from what the top environmentalists are saying, I believe kangaroo to be one of the ‘greenest’ meats we can buy. They don’t produce methane and as non-cloven animals they don’t damage the Australian land as sheep and cattle can do. Finally in these times of economic uncertainty kangaroo meat is good value for money. Oh and I nearly forgot to say – it tastes delicious too!"
